Solavesta is a Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) based in Punjab, India — serving power buyers, solar output purchasers, and solar vendors under one roof.

Our story

Born from a simple question: why is solar still expensive?

India has abundant sunlight. The technology exists. Government subsidies are in place. Yet millions of homes and businesses still pay high electricity bills because the upfront cost of solar remains a barrier.

Solavesta was founded to eliminate that barrier. Under the RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company) model, we install, own, and operate rooftop solar systems on your premises. You pay nothing upfront. You simply buy the electricity our system generates — at rates 30-50% lower than your grid tariff.

But we didn't stop there. We realised that individuals who believe in solar energy want to participate in this growth too — not as investors in a financial product, but as purchasers of real solar output from identified projects. So we created the Solar Output Purchase Agreement (SOPA) — a bilateral forward purchase of goods (electrical energy, HSN 2716) under the Indian Contract Act.

And we saw that thousands of solar EPC vendors across India were struggling with manual billing, messy project tracking, and no professional tools. So we built a free billing and CRM platform for solar vendors — because when the ecosystem grows, we all grow.

Power Purchase

RESCO for Power Buyers

We install, own, and operate rooftop solar on your premises. You pay nothing upfront and buy electricity at a PPA rate 30-50% lower than PSPCL. We handle design, installation, approvals, net metering, and maintenance for the full contract term (10-25 years). Your only job is to consume cheaper power.

SOPA for Output Purchasers

Forward-purchase a defined allocation of solar electrical output (kWh) from a specific named project. Solavesta generates electricity, sells it to the power buyer, and remits your allocated output value as monthly delivery credits. The purchase amount is non-refundable. Output is variable with no guaranteed minimum.

We believe in complete transparency about the legal nature of each service. Here's exactly what governs each one.

Power Purchase Agreement

⚡ PPA for power buyers

Standard power purchase agreement between Solavesta (generator) and the power consumer (buyer). Governed by the Electricity Act 2003 and applicable state regulations. PSPCL net metering enabled. Electricity supply is GST exempt under HSN 2716, Notification 02/2017-CT(Rate).

Your obligation: Pay for electricity consumed at the agreed PPA rate.

Our obligation: Generate solar power and maintain the system.

Solar Output Purchase Agreement

🌞 SOPA for output purchasers

Bilateral forward purchase contract for goods (electrical energy, HSN 2716) between Solavesta (seller) and the purchaser (buyer). Governed by the Indian Contract Act 1872 and the Sale of Goods Act 1930. Not a CIS, not a deposit, not a security, not a financial instrument. Purchase amount is non-refundable. Output is variable.

Your obligation: Pay the purchase amount (non-refundable advance for goods).

Our obligation: Deliver monthly output settlement credits based on actual generation.

Terms of Service

🛠 Vendor platform

Standard software-as-a-service terms. Free access to billing, CRM, and calculation tools. No financial product involved. Your data remains yours. We don't charge subscription fees or take commissions on your projects.

Your obligation: Accurate business information at registration.

Our obligation: Provide reliable, secure tools.

Applicable Laws

📜 Governing framework

Solavesta Pvt. Ltd. is incorporated under the Companies Act 2013. Our services are governed by the Indian Contract Act 1872, Sale of Goods Act 1930, Electricity Act 2003, Information Technology Act 2000 (for digital signing), and applicable GST notifications. All disputes are resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996.
